I am researching my family tree and have a Gt. Grandmother (x3) called Ann Robinson from Bramley (Leeds). She married a man called James Wood on 21 January 1833 and they lived and brought up their family in Bramley. The family name Robinson was used for generations in conjunction with the surname Wood but I cannot really understand why. The girls in particular seemed to call themselves Robinson or Wood-Robinson, even on official documents when it was clear their surname was Wood! I would like to look at this gravestone in greater detail to see if I can find any connection between 'my' Ann Robinson and this family. Incidentally, a large proportion of my family on my mother's side come from Bramley and did do for generations. The victim of the infamous 'Yorkshire Witch', Mary Bateman was my Gt. Aunt (x5). She was called Rebecca Perigo (nee Stockdale) I also grew up in Bramley and my sister was born there so we know it quite well!Thank you for help.
